Unsightly proposes a more honest and mindful depiction of my environment. Rather than looking out over a horizon, I looked down at the stolen, extracted, and beautiful land that I move through daily. The resulting "landscapes" are made up of natural, humble, and discarded materials found nearby by home in Ucluelet, BC. And like our environment, relationships, and bodies, they are messy, lumpy, unpolished, and impure.
